PAST EVENTS

The Book of Villah

Saturday 8th September -- 8pm

The Book Of Vilah is an original acoustic band from Sydney that tells one half of a story through song. The bands music is an elegant match of each members background both culturally and creatively producing music that has reached into audiences around Sydney over the past two years resulting in a growing number of fans.
The Book Of Vilah floats on the edge of many styles but never quite falls into any one,
with textures woven from classical, world and alternative.
The band has played from festival crowds to smaller intimate venues always to appreciative audiences.
The Book Of Vilah may perform band only shows or for significant events a full performance (with actor Alex Sideratos) which consists of VILAH (Alex Sideratos) telling his story in the form of a dramatic monologue from a jail cell in the 16th century on the mainland of Greece.

Visit their website here.

Roesy

Wednesday 19th September -- 7.30pm

www.roesy.net

"…impressive musical talent and overwhelming passion" (Faster Louder)
"Roesy was a standout for me at Woodford. We only gave him three gigs but as it turned out, our audiences would have been much happier had there been six. Solo performers rarely cut it at Woodford, Roesy did…there’s just that bit of magic in his music. It’s to do with that blarney blood; Irish artists reinventing, Roesy is one of those”
(Bill Hauritz, Festival Director – Woodford Folk Festival)

Little Big Wolf

Saturday 11th August 7.30

Born in a basement somewhere in Sydney's gritty and cultured inner west area, Little Big Wölf is a pure and simple, honest and organic -- as well as slightly alternative -- Blues breathing collaboration. Feeding on a belly full of skankin' and chuggin' rhythms, combined with delicate and bluesy melodies and licks, kept walking solidly by all four or the Wölf's warm bassy feet!

Style: Swamp/Blues/Roots

Members: Rob Lupica, Nathan Gatt, Andrew Meli, Frank Attard
