Poetry Night October

On the second Tuesday of October, the Sappho Books poetry night will play host to AVANT GAGA #26, a gala of 7 guest poets......

poet and researcher living in Melbourne, chapbook 'Rhinestone' published in 2015 with SoD, reader for Cardiff-based little mag Zarf and audio producer for Cordite.

is a writer and poet in Melbourne. Her chapbook 'end motion/manifest' was published with Bulky News Press in 2015.

is a poet and Director of The Red Room Company. She has exhibited experimental poetic works in Sydney, Melbourne, Switzerland and Mexico. Her first collection of poems 'phosphene' is published by the Rabbit Poet Series. Other poems, comics and essays have appeared in Drunken Boat, ImageText, Cordite, Five Bells, Nth Degree, and Image [&] Narrative. Tamryn has a doctorate in ‘Comics Poetry’ from the University of New South Wales where she has also tutored in Creative Writing. 

is an award-winning performance poet from Perth. He's known for creating poetry that ranges from post avant to experimental to slam. SPM appears directly from debuting his new poetical work, THE 12 MINUTE MONOMYTH, at Crack Theatre Festival and Critical Animals. 

is a 21 year old poet and creative nonfiction writer living on Gadigal land. Her work has appeared in various Australian, English and American literary journals and in 2016 she was a featured artist at National Young Writers Festival. Her writing focuses on social epistemology, the forthcoming apocalypse, and being a public nuisance.

is pretty sure she invented the term 'abject topology' and you can google it if you like, or you can read about in The Lifted Brow, Overland, Tincture Journal and the UTS Writer's Anthology, where she did her honours in 2014.

is incredibly melodramatic. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in a variety of publications, including Voiceworks, Seizure Online and SCUM MAG. She is currently milking the last vestiges of her teenage years for as much angst as possible.
