A consummate and passionate performer, Marguerite Montes has just returned to Sydney after two decades of extensive travelling in Europe, the North Coast of NSW and parts of outback NSW. Marguerite has decided to settle in Glebe.
A singer songwriter, Marguerite has worked with an eclectic array of musicians and in a multitude of genres. Her original songs are stunningly influenced by her Andalusian roots and Latin feels. She has collaborated with Antonio Vargas, Kavisha Mazzela, Brian Kennedy, Darryl Braithwaite, Toni Childs, Oscar Gimenez, Peter Urquhart, Lou Steer as well as many more performers.
A regular of the Festival circuits, Marguerite is equally comfortable performing in a large stadium as she is in an intimate space. Marguerite will take you on a beautiful musical journey at Sappho’s Café as part of the Glebe ‘Coloursound’ Festival on Saturday the 26th of March at 6.30 pm.
