Ali MC is a Melbourne-based musician, writer, photographer and human rights professional. He will be performing a rare acoustic set based on his travels around the world, as well as his own personal experiences.
Ali has worked as a music producer in remote Aboriginal communities in the Western Desert, and fronts the dub-hiphop collective New Dub City. As a writer, he authored the 'punk rock travel book' The Eyeball End, which details his experiences in much of the so-called 'Third World'.
As well as working in Indigenous history and legal services, Ali is currently studying a Masters of Human Rights Law, and in 2017 he will be holding a photography exhibition titled Rohingya: Refugee Crisis in Colour.
He will have copies of his book The Eyeball End available for sale as well as the New Dub City 'Release the Dubs', of which proceeds will go towards Rohingya refugee relief.
