A Literary Evening with Mathilde Walter Clark

Join us for an exciting evening with acclaimed Danish writer Mathilde Walter Clark, in conversation about her powerful and timely book The Blind Eye
Blending memoir and investigative journalism, The Blind Eye (Det blinde øje) examines Denmark’s 2020 mass mink cull and delves into broader questions of power, responsibility, and animal rights. Described as one of the most courageous and important Danish books in recent years, the book explores the human tendency to overlook the lives of animals and challenges us to rethink our ethical boundaries.
Hosted by the Royal Danish Embassy and Sappho Books, the event will feature an in-depth conversation with Mathilde, followed by audience Q&A. Join us for refreshments and a unique opportunity to hear from a leading voice in contemporary Nordic literature, whose work has been published across the globe.
