Put on your bitter spectacles & grab your worn-out jezebel for an evening of semi-autobiographic entertainment. She’s like Judy Garland with a Tom Waits problem. Too unrefined for Broadway, too explicit for radio, she’s just right for a Thursday night surrounded by all your literary favourites in the Sappho Books Cafe & Bar.
Her vast musical influences and a commitment to madness manifest in a fondness for dissonance, unconventional form, theatrical delivery, an over reliance on the I,IV,V progression and whimsical comedy. Singing original songs of debauchery, depression & complete fiction – come along to hear her sing a song that could be about you…
The evening will feature songs from her soon to be released EP Inside Jokes and the currently in production stage play Smoky: The Musical.
