**CANCELLED due to musician illness, but the bar will still be open!**

Em George is a singer-songwriter from Sydney and who became interested in songwriting after discovering the sounds of Carole King, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles and Leonard Cohen.
Her first single, “Murderers On The Inside” was played on FBi radio and Triple J Unearthed. The single was optioned by HBO for use in film and television. This was followed by the track being remixed by L.A based producer Stephen Kozmeniuk (Madonna, Kayne West).
George’s second single, “Truth”, received airplay on radio across Australia such as FBi, drawing comparisons to Regina Spektor and Beth Orton. It was featured on the soundtrack of Unplanned America season two which premiered on SBS 2 and is available on Netflix Australia and USA.
Em was featured in The Music Network alongside artists such as C.W Stoneking after her third single “Paper Hearts” spent two weeks in the AMRAP Metro and Regional charts reaching number three. It was featured on Triple J Unearthed, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and was SYN Radio’s track of the week alongside Aerial Love by Daniel Johns (Silverchair). It was also released to radio in the United States, achieving airplay in New York, California and Texas.
In 2017, her song “Blues Lady” was a Semi Finalist in the International Songwriting Competition.
Her debut self-titled EP currently holds over 375,000 plays on Spotify and was featured on the Spotify Viral charts and reached the top 20 in the Netherlands and number 28 in the UK.
Her EP Wolves was released in July 2020 to critical acclaim. The lead single “Fight” achieved rotation on Triple J, with the title track “Wolves” being named a semi finalist in the International Songwriting Competition that year. Em was featured on UK based Mystic Sons who called the EP ‘one of the most promising emerging artists we have heard so far this year’.
In July 2021, Em released the first single from her brand new EP, “Metropolis” which was produced by Pete Covington (Middle Kids, Thelma Plumm) and recorded at Golden Retriever Studios. It was released to critical acclaim with the industry blog The Music, magazine Russsh, Happy Mag and AU Review all featuring Metropolis and Em’s work as an artist. The music video which was produced and edited by Em herself, was recently added to MTV as a feature on their MTV Hits program.
Her follow up single and third EP will be released in the coming months.
