Gordy

Performing at major venues across Sydney—including ICC Sydney, Qudos Bank Arena, 107 Redfern, Bucketty’s Brookvale, and Annandale Creative Arts Centre—Gordy is redefining young Australian music with his soulful, genre-blending sound.
Gordon Michie, known professionally as Gordy, is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from the Northern Beaches. Fusing pop, soul/R&B, and indie-folk, his deep, expressive vocals and dynamic piano playing set him apart. He is currently honing his craft as a student at the University of Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
At 17, Gordy self-released his debut single Lament, making an immediate impact on the Sydney music scene. He later graduated from the Talent Development Project and followed up with Become A Man and Hill (feat. Elsa Marilyn), the latter surpassing 60,000 Spotify streams.
Beyond major venues, Gordy delivered a standout Sofar Sounds performance in Annandale, earning high praise for his raw, emotive style. Most recently, his unreleased song “You Breathe Life” was broadcast on SWR 99.9 FM, further cementing his presence in the local music scene.
Praised by Paula Duncan, Peter Cousens, and Phil Anquetil, Gordy is an artist to watch.
