A great man once said of Jack Robins ‘personally, I blame the parents.’ Jack has been writing songs since he was 13. He thinks he’s getting the hang of it now. A singer, guitarist and songwriter with a wealth of experience, Jack’s music has clear elements of alt-country and country folk, with influences from the classic country pop of the late 1950s through 1960s. Inspired by the likes of Jimmy Webb and Willie Nelson with a dash of Jacques Brel thrown in, his songs are literate, nuanced and heart-felt, delivered in a clear, expressive voice underpinned by an inventive finger-picking guitar style.
Jack’s album Notes is available on CD, Bandcamp and CD Baby, as well as all major streaming services. Two singles—If and Cheating moon—were lifted from the album, the latter earning praise from Grammy-winning songwriter Terry Britten.
Entry is FREE and the bar will be open from 6pm.
