Leah Tess is a singer-songwriter from London, who recently moved to Sydney. Her music has been described as folk/pop with ‘unique melodies and innovative soundscapes’. She studied songwriting at ICMP in London and during her time there, won an international songwriting competition in Paris with her song ‘Oblivion’ and shortly after travelled to Nashville to play and attend Tin Pan South songwriters festival.
Leah has performed multiple times at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland and wrote the musical score for her friend’s sell out show ‘Unknown’ in 2019 and her music has featured on BBC Radio Introducing across the UK. Leah loves performing live and has played festivals and gigs around the UK. Leah draws on themes of nature in her songwriting; her musical inspirations include Dolly Parton, HAIM, Birdy, Fleetwood Mac and First Aid Kit.
