Ollie Hand and Katie Rosewood

11 December 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Ollie Hand has written songs since childhood, picking up the guitar at 13 in the hopes that she would be able to serenade prospective girlfriends. The songwriting went well, but unfortunately Ollie lived with crippling performance anxiety and avoided performing for most of their adult life, while continuing to play music and write songs and develop their craft. The style that Ollie developed, locked away in the shame-closet, is a blend of acoustic blues, folk, and punk, with lyrics that are contemporary bents on familiar themes.

After the age of 40, and particularly after the birth of her two children, and particularly after the end of a significant relationship, and PARTICULARLY heading through a significant life change (iykyk) Ollie found that she had far fewer f*&ks to give and is now giving performing a go in the interest of sharing works that have been hidden in her shame-closet. So, when you listen to Ollie perform you are hearing music that spans 30+ years, much of which has hardly been performed outside of very personal spaces, all of which she wants to share with the world at this place and time.

Katie Rosewood is a Sydney-based alternative singer/songwriter and classical guitarist whose music blends intricate guitar work with rock-infused undertones. Her debut album Symptoms (2024) explores the darker corners of our shared human experience with boldness and vulnerability. For this performance, Katie will bring those songs into an intimate solo setting — just voice and guitar. Listen: https://gyro.to/Symptoms

Entry is FREE and the bar will be open from 5pm.
